In Memoriam – Jacqueline Lapienski
Easthampton, MA – Jacqueline Packard (Currie) Lapienski, 65, of Easthampton, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 8, 2024, after a long illness. She was born and educated in Northampton and was the daughter of the late John (Jack) and Celeste Packard.
After graduating from Northampton High School in 1976, Jackie earned her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate and held various nursing positions for over 23 years. She later worked as an administrative assistant in various private and civic assignments before her retirement in 2018.
Jackie loved spending time and making memories with family and friends and her greatest joy was being “Grammie” to her precious grandchildren. She also loved doting on and thoroughly spoiling several cats that were lucky enough to become family members throughout her life.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband of 24 years, Stephen Lapienski, son Seamus Currie, daughter Courtney Currie Brousseau and son-in-law Jamie Brousseau and her beloved grandchildren, Willa and Theo Brousseau.
She is also survived by her brother Michael Packard, and sisters Joyce Rescia and Susan Orszulak (Tom), her sister-in-law Mary Inguanti (Paul), three aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you goes out to the staff at Fisher House Hospice in Amherst for their kindness and care of Jackie during the past several weeks.
As per her wishes there will be no formal services.
