In Memoriam – Michele Theresa Tuohy

NORTHAMPTON, MA — We regretfully announce the passing of Michele Theresa Tuohy of Northampton. She passed peacefully on January 10, 2022, with family at her side.

Michele was born in Brooklyn, New York on February 26, 1959, to Catherine (Angelone) Tuohy and Michael Tuohy. She attended St. Saviour High School and the University of Michigan (M Go Blue!). She moved to Boston in 1981 where she worked in medical records at Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She moved to Northampton, Massachusetts in 1996 and continued working in healthcare. Most recently she was medical receptionist and much more for Dr. Christine Baker at Pioneer Valley Internal Medicine in Florence. She had long relationships with many patients, and they continue to ask about her.

Michele was lovingly cared for by her sisters Dolores Tuohy and Joan Talder during her battle with cancer. She is survived by her sisters; her brothers-in-law William Sheehan and Bill Talder; her niece Meghan Sheehan; her nephew John Sheehan (Mandi Bibbins); and by many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her fiancé, John Charles O’Conner (1946 – 1989) of South Boston, the love of her life.
