A quiet, kind and generous man, Richard was very supportive of the efforts of the Northampton Survival Center.

Richard was predeceased by his parents as well as an infant brother Robert.

He is survived by his uncle and aunt John and Betty Moodie of East Longmeadow, cousins Karen (Donald) Gallagher of Hadley, Debra (Robert) Roraback of Salem, Conn., Nancy (Lauren) Smith, John (Liz) Pearson and Paul and Mark Pearson, all of New Hampshire.

His family would like to thank the Law Office of Attorney Michael Hooker and his staff, especially his social worker, Jill Lombardi, as well as his friend and companion Samantha Falcon and most recent companion Brenda Filena for their compassionate care.
